The Newcomers and Neighbors Club of Northern Nevada (Club) October General Meeting is being held so members may vote on the Proposed Amendments to the Club Bylaws and on the 2021 Executive Board.

Due to the Covid-19 requirements in place, our meeting will be conducted virtually using the Zoom platform. For those of you new to Zoom, you do not need to download any programs, you will just click on the link in the iinvitation and it will take you to the Zoom meeting.

  • Any member may attend this meeting at no charge. 
  • Registration is required which will allow our Host to admit you to the meeting.  
  • Registration must be made no later than October 18th.
  • You can log into the meeting with a computer, laptop, iPad, iPhone, or Android. Any device with audio and a camera will do, although a camera is not mandatory.
  • Complete instructions for participating in the Zoom meeting will be included in an email that will be sent on October 19th.
For your enjoyment, we will also show a short video of the Reno Pops Orchestra as described below.


We will present the Reno Pops Orchestra playing music from our March 2020 concert- “The Heroic Little Sisters of the Grasslands”. A traditional Chinese Folk Song featuring Angela Zhang playing a Pipa (Chinese Flute) solo. The second selection is from our November 2019 concert – “Scene VII (Commendatore- Final Scene) from Don Giovanni”  by Mozart. This features Stuart Duke, Bass; Emzy Burroughs, Baritone; Steven Meyer, Baritone.
