April (10am-6pm):  Nevada Museum of Art,160 Liberty St., Reno; exhibits & tours throughout the month; films & discussions; check their website for all dates & times.

April (Tu-F 11am-4pm, Sat 1pm-4pm):  Sparks Heritage Museum, collections, lectures, and outdoor exhibits, 814 Victorian Ave., Sparks, 775-355-1144.

April (11am–5pm): North Tahoe Arts, visit the North Tahoe Arts Shop for local craft, jewelry, art & classes, 380 North Lake Blvd., Tahoe City; register for Art Camps for all ages.

April:  Virginia City hosts events, mine tours, bingo, karaoke, ghost tours, and live music all month.

          April 16: Easter Bonnet & Pet Parade down main street

April 7, 14, 21, 28 (12:30pm): Senior Radio (every Thursday) hosted by the city of Reno; 1060 AM radio (KFOY); download newsletters or sign up for email.

April 10 (9am-11am): 5th Annual 5k Run, Idlewild Park, 1900 Idlewild Drive.

April 12 & 26 (1pm-3pm): Sparks Heritage Museum, Lifescapes is a memoir writing class; write, share, publish; free; 814 Victorian Ave., Sparks, 775-355-1144.

April 16 (2pm-5pm): Riverview Wine Walk, Riverwalk District, Reno.

April 24 (11am-5pm): Reno Earth Day; lots of activities for all ages.


April 27 (9am-10am): Nevada Discovery Museum; Small Wonder Wednesday, for kids under 5; free exhibits & displays.
