Arts & Crafts
Card Makingβ We meet 3 days a month to make greeting cards for all occasions using rubber stamping and/or Iris-folding or fancy paper-folding techniques.
Creative Women Artistsβ Here's your chance to dabble in the arts. Bring your supplies and a bag lunch. Youβll enjoy this informal, friendly workplace away from the distractions at home. We meet every Wednesday.

Hooks & Needlesβ All levels from beginner to expert are welcome to join us for an afternoon of fun and creativity. If you donβt know how to knit or crochet, weβll help you learn. You can make items for yourself or for donation. We meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
North/South Quiltersβ Whether you are a longtime quilter or just want to learn to quilt, please join us at our monthly meetings. In addition to socializing with other quilters, our meetings include demonstrations, book & pattern reviews, quilting tips, show & tell, and guest speakers. Other activities include workshops, making quilts for charities, and small groups that meet at other times. We meet the third Tuesday of the month at Sparks Christian Fellowship 510 Greenbrae Drive 89431 (near the corner of Pyramid and Greenbrae). There is a $25/year fee to pay for the venue.
Cerebral Delights
Agatha Christie Book Club - The group will choose the book for each month. Most of Agatha Christie's books can be purchased through Amazon Books, Walmart, Target, Barnes and Noble and Thrift-Book.com.
Books in Reviewβ We meet on the 1st Tuesday of the month. The format of this book club will be to read books of our own choosing. We'll start with a round-robin discussion, sharing what we're currently reading. Then two to three reviewers who have signed up from the previous month will offer a more in-depth recap of their chosen book, followed by questions, answers, and discussion.
Mystery Book Clubβ Do you love a good mystery? We meet on the 2nd Monday.
Page Turnersβ We meet on the 1st Wednesday of the month.
Company & Food
Dining in with Friendsβ This is for couples and singles who enjoy cooking, eating, making new friends, and having fun. Once a month there are as many as eight simultaneous dinner parties going on in the Reno-Sparks area. We meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month.
GenXers and Boomersβ GenXers and Boomers welcomes members who are young at heart. We meet monthly at locations in Reno and Sparks.
Get Together (Women)β We welcome all women, married or single, who enjoy making friends. We usually meet on the 1st Sunday of the month for brunch and the 3rd Thursday for dinner.
Letβs Live Again, Next Chapterβ LLA is for members who have lost their lifetime partner. The group meets monthly for lunch and may plan other activities as well. We meet on the 3rd Friday of the month.
Men's Breakfast Clubβ We meet for breakfast and a speaker on the 1st Thursday of the month. Participation is open to male members of the Club. Join us as we learn about the Reno-Sparks community, enjoy camaraderie and develop new friendships.
Oh Solo Mioβ OSM is a singles group that mixes and mingles at a variety of local restaurants. All single members of Newcomers are invited to attend. We meet on the 1st Wednesday of the month.
Reno/Sparks Hump Day Happy Hourβ This group of gals and guys meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month between 4:00pm and 6:00pm at one of the restaurants in the greater Reno/Sparks area that has a Happy Hour menu.
TGIFβ TGIF is open to all members, both singles and couples. We meet in the evening for an enjoyable mixer at a member's home. It's BYOB or beverage of your choice and finger food to share. We meet on the 1st Friday of the month.
Wine Around Townβ If you agree with the saying the "wind makes everything better," this group is for you! Come along as we sip and savor at local tastings around the Reno-Sparks area. All wine lovers are welcome!

8-Ball Poolβ If you are interested in playing 8-Ball Pool and other games, we meet monthly at a local billiard's club. We welcome all levels of players. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.
Boards, Cards "N" Chuckles-Play board and card games 2nd Wednesday of the month.
Bunco Groupsβ Bunco is a simple dice game anybody can master. It's lots of fun. We talk, eat, and play Bunco all at the same time. We have seven groups, with some playing in the evening and others in the daytime.

Bunco Bonanza -We meet at the Coconut Bowl at Wild Island (1855 East Lincoln Way, Sparks) where we have our own private room. We play the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month.
Bridgeβ We are a drop-in group of beginning and more experienced players. We sometimes play with open hands and we are always willing to discuss the play of the hand and answer questions. We use the 2005 Audrey Grant series Bridge Basics. We meet each Tuesday.
Cribbageβ If you are an experienced player or new to the game, you're welcome to join us. Come early if you would like to have lunch before we start playing. We meet every Monday.
Dealer's Choice Pokerβ This group is limited to 12 players who should know the standard ranking of hands and how to deal before coming.
Hand & Footβ New and seasoned players are welcome. We play on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
Hand & Foot II - We will meet once a month on the 4th Wednesday at the Flowing Tide Pub, 1450 E Prater way in Sparks. We meet for lunch at 11:30 and start playing at 12:30 to 4.
Hand, Knee & Foot - This is a hybrid version of Canasta & Hand and Foot.- We meet on the 1st Friday of each month at 11:00 AM and the 4th Monday of each month at 11:00 AM. Both days/time we will meet in the upstairs area at Reno Public Market.
Minnesota-Sambaβ Minnesota is a canasta-like game that is quite easy to learn and we are willing to teach new people. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month.
Pinochleβ We play single deck, double deck, and three handed when necessary. We meet every Wednesday.
Let's Play Cards βThis is a group for people who enjoy playing cards and socializing. Zioncheck (a variation of Rummy) is the default game, but we might play any number of other games should the group be in the mood for something different. We meet at 11:30 every Monday and Wednesday.
Let's Play Pokerβ We play a variety of poker games. We play every other Thursday.
Game Night-- We meet on the 2nd Friday.
Mah Jongg Beginners NMJRβ Want to learn Mah Jongg or haven't played in a while? This might be what you're looking for. This group plays by the national Mah Jongg Rules (NMJR) and meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday.
Mah Jongg NMJR IIβ This group is a step up from Beginning May Jongg. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays.
Mah Jongg NMJR IIIβ We are always looking for experienced Mah Jongg players that play by the NMJ rules. If you enjoy a good game with long-time players, join our group. We meet every Monday.
Mexican Trainβ We play the 1st Thursday of the month at members' homes.

Let's Get Physical
Adopt-A-Spotβ Interested in some safe outdoor time helping our community? Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful provides all the tools needed (bags, gloves, shovels, etc.) and coordinates trash pickup. We meet three times a year.
Bowl and Lunchβ We are not a league, just a group of members who enjoy bowling with no commitment. Everyone is welcome - singles, couples or even teams. If you donβt want to commit to a summer league or havenβt bowled in decades or never bowled at all, please come and join us. We meet every Tuesday.
Co-Ed Intermediate Hikersβ We will focus on moderate hikes with less than crazy elevation in the Reno/Tahoe area.
Co-Ed Light Hikers β with a focus on hikes between 2-5 miles and mild elevation changes. This club will hike on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays.
Croquetβ This new group meets the second Wednesday of June, July, August and September. No experience necessary, Croquet set and grass provided.
Garden Clubβ Share the successes and challenges of gardening in Northern Nevada. Monthly meetings feature guest speakers held at local nurseries, community gardens, or in private homes with exceptional outdoor spaces the 4th Tuesday of the month.
Ladies Not-So-Serious Golfβ This golf group will meet every Wednesday.
Men's Golfβ Golfers of all levels are welcome. We play for fun and self-improvement. As weather permits, we try to play every Monday and Thursday at courses in Reno and Carson City. On Mondays, we usually play at our home course, Washoe Golf Course.
Ladies Hikersβ We enjoy energetic hikes from April to October in the local hills, valleys, and mountains led by members who have done these hikes before. Hikes are generally within a 90-minute drive from Reno, 6β9 miles in length, and at a moderate pace. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.
Marina Walkersβ We walk the Sparks Marina three mornings a week on Monday,
Pickleball -Girls with Paddlesβ Beginners pickleball. All levels are welcome to play a fun spirited game.
Co-Ed Snow Skiers and Snowboardersβ Wednesday, and Friday. Join us for light exercise and good company. This group is on hiatus. We are looking for a new Chairperson.
Pursuing Adventure
Learn About Nevadaβ LAN meets monthly for a local tour and/or a speaker on an interesting topic about Nevada. We have an optional lunch (or dinner) in a restaurant and occasionally a potluck in a member's home. We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
The Explorers (RV/Camping)β This is for anyone who is interested in camping via tent, an RV or simply sleeping on a cot under the stars!
Take Me Out to a Ballgameβ This new group will meet at various dates and times during the Reno Aces Season and other Ball Games.
Travel Talkβ TT meets monthly to discuss member travel adventures using photos, video, and more. Each meeting features a member speaker discussing their personal travel experiences.
The Learning Lounge
Learning Spanishβ (Hiatus until September) Learn how to converse in Spanish and speak with confidence. If you speak some Spanish and are looking for a way to practice and refine your skills, this group is for you. We meet every Thursday.
Ukuleleβ This group is for ukulele players of all levels. We play songs from The Daily Ukulele Songbook (yellow version).
Tech Tonicsβ For anyone wanting to understand and navigate the world of digital technology. We will show you how to get these tools to work for you.
